A credit check for digital wallets.
Before a robot assistant pays a stranger, it would like to know whether that stranger has a history of behaving. We keep track of payment behaviour we have observed and answer the question 'has this wallet been reliable?'. Crucially, if we have never seen the wallet before we say so plainly, rather than inventing a reassuring score.
Like checking someone's reviews before buying from them.
Anything about to send money to a party it does not know.

Dearer than Verify because the answer is worth more: it is the difference between sending money to a stranger blind or not. For reference, the typical price across 15200 services in the public x402 directory is about $0.0100 per call.
